Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has seen the reintroduction of a plethora of fan-favourite maps from the Treyarch's instalments in the long-running first-person-shooter franchise.

The game's typical multiplayer mode has seen the return of Jungle, Slums, Summit, and the iconic Firing Range while the new "Blackout" battle-royale mode has reintroduced the likes of Raid, Firing Range (again), Nuketown, and many more - including some portions of Zombies maps.

And while there are quite a few maps that didn't make the cut, one in particular has amassed the most substantial backing from fans. Hijacked from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set on a fancy yacht and was without a doubt one of that instalment's greatest. The petition to remake Hijacked took the form of a recent post to the Black Ops 4 subreddit - which quickly amassed over three-thousand upvotes.

Everyone talking about the maps they want. Gimme this back all day long. from r/Blackops4

The highest voted comment, amid the appeal, proposes that the iconic boat should be added to the barren area of Blackout's ocean. The original Hijacked map featured an immobile helicopter and a couple of speedboats, with Black Ops 4 reintroducing rideable vehicles to the Call of Duty series, Hijacked's addition to Blackout seems meant to be.

What do you think of the appeal? Would you like to see Hijacked make a return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4? Which other maps would you like to see be remade?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
