Activision recently revealed how Treyarch's newest instalment in the long-running Call of Duty franchise is doing sales-wise.
Their new report revealed that Black Ops 4 has outsold its predecessor, that being Treyarch's previous addition to the series, Black Ops 3 on a 3-to-1 basis. This is most likely on-account of the game's new "Blackout" mode being relevant as most of the gaming-sphere currently revolves around the battle-royale model.
These sales trumping previous instalments, making Black Ops 4 one of the best-selling games in the series, unfortunately doesn't bode well for the campaign mode's reintroduction in future Call of Duty titles - as they prove to Activision that the series can survive fine without it.
Sales are doing particularly well on the PC-front, the sales reveal. In addition, Activision confirmed that player engagement is also up for Black Ops 4, with a 16% increase over Black Ops 3, and with 20% more hours played.
