The fifth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone's post-launch content kicks off tomorrow — on August 5th, to be clear. Season 5, like all of the previous seasons, will introduce a plethora of awesome, new content to the online multiplayer and battle royale modes.
For instance, there are all-new Operators including Rozlin "Roze" Helms, Velikan, and Marcus "Lerch" Ortega. For one of the first times, the Call of Duty: Warzone map is going to be subject to some significant changes. The enormous sports stadium will be open for business at last! What's more, a train that has lovingly been dubbed "the loot train" will now travel all across the map.
Additionally, a pair of new, traditional multiplayer maps will be coming to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare online multiplayer. There's also a new map specific to the Gunfight game mode and a sprawling, new one for the Ground War game mode. Infinity Ward and Activision have shared an exciting trailer for Season 5 which shows off all of the awesome, new content.

That's not all; there's also an entirely new faction that will be introduced with Season 5. Here's an official rundown of the Shadow Company:
An elite PMC, Shadow Company operates outside the boundaries of the original Armistice. Forged from the fires of in-fighting between the Coalition and the Allegiance, Shadow Company has a framework and agenda all of their own. Ostensibly Allegiance Operators who have grown impatient with Coalition progress under the command of Captain Price, Shadow Company is a splinter group formed without compromise, ready to take the war directly to Mr. Z and into Verdansk and deal with terrorist threats directly.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
