With their the latest expansion for Destiny 2, "Shadowkeep," set to launch on October 1, it's clear that Bungie has no plans to give up on the sci-fi RPG, a concern that's continued to grow among some gamers following the companies split with Activision.
However, even though the video game developer is still focused on the Destiny, CEO Pete Parsons recently made it known that the publisher hopes to develop new franchises unrelated to the Destiny series.
"So, by 2025 we have a pretty specific path to make sure we transform Destiny and that we have other franchises within the marketplace," Parsons said during an interview with IGN, explaining one way the developer plans to "become one of the world’s best entertainment companies."
Unsurprisingly, Parson couldn't shed any more light on what new franchises the company hopes to launch, but any idea will likely be welcomed by fans who would like to see Bungie venture outside of Destiny, a series they've been focused on since 2014.
