Since Bungie released the original Destiny on consoles, the series went from having a rocky start to being one of the most successful online looter-shooter titles ever. Creating a sprawling world and expanding on established mechanics, the seires has since been able to release a sequel that features multiple expansions.
Destiny 2 has offered some of the best mechanics, levels, and weapons that the game has ever seen while maintaining the cinematic story experiences that it has become known for. Its latest expansion, titled Beyond Light, is coming next week, and Bungie is more than prepared, even including things that give players access to items from previous updates.
Players who have been unable to obtain vaulted exotic weapons from the past will now be able to gain access to them through tower kiosks called Monument to Lost Lights Exotic Archive, where players can use their currency and resources to gain access to these weapons. The raid weapons will require currency titled Spoils of Conquest that will be available through raids. This is just the tip of the iceberg, however, as there are also plans for players to revisit old quests.
While some of the information will be left to uncover in the game itself, it is nice to see that Bungie is paying attention to the things that made the game so fun in the past. We would love to see your thoughts on the news in the comments below!
