There is so much to go over in this week Bungie Blog update. From sniper rifles, the Ice Breaker and much much more. Since there are a ton of details lets jump right in.

Destiny

Bungie is releasing a new Crucible match. It is a 2 v 2 match that is catered to players destroying the other team and reviving fallen comrades. Here are some of the details Bungie released on their blog.

While this was a soft opening, back in December we did forecast some theoretical game modes. Doubles is the first experiment.

Design Lead Lars Bakken describes this engagement as “a slower burn with more explosive pockets.”

They dropped hints that more content might be coming to the crucible to keep things fresh. This is a much needed update to the crucible. It should be really fun.

Last Week Xur had the highly sought after sniper rifle "Ice Breaker" available for purchase and boy did it sell. Here is another clip from the blog.

We began with a visit to the Tower by the Agent of the Nine. You know him as Xûr. He brought with him a prize that many Guardians had coveted. You know it as Ice Breaker. Our mysterious merchant left with a strange haul of 19,436,440 coins - all earned in battle. That’s the gameplay equivalent of 2,159,604 Weekly Heroic Strikes on the highest level of difficulty. Not bad for two days’ work.

GameFragger insiders tore strikes, raids and daily missions asunder with this sniper rifle. If you didn't get one, we are sorry and if you did. You know exactly what we are talking about. Not to mention the sniper rifle makes farming engrams that much easier because it replenishes its own ammo.

We at GameFragger think this game is awesome, but we know a lot of people out there have many complaints, just look at the comment section below Bungie's blog posts. We believe there is still a lot to come. Our biggest complaints are:
1) Strike missions should be able to get 4-6 players with enemies being that much harder. The raids prove this to be true, even though Bungie says three is the perfect amount.
2)Switching stuff between characters is a hassle.
3)The vault is so stinking tiny you can barely get all your stuff in there.

Bungie is going to add content every year. With every year passing the game is only going to get better and better. They have a 10 year plan. Lets all wait and see before we go to headquarters with pitchforks and torches.
