Since the launch Destiny's new silver program has been a tremendous success. Silver comes in different packages the the 2300 Silver ($20), 1100 silver ($10) and 500 Silver ($5). This allows players to buy emotes for their characters. There are some awesome Halloween dances that are currently out there. There is a lot of hesitation (at least those I play with) from some players. Yes, this can help fund future projects, but how far will they go? The breaking point is if it gets to the point that players who play have advantages over those who don't. Silver is also needed somewhat during the Lunar festival, but i'll get into that later

Saw this on Youtube and thought that it was pretty awesome. Youtuber Sam Goodey has taken the events of The Taken King and mashed them up with the new Star Wars Force Awakens trailer. I still get the chills from hearing Kylo Ren's voice!

The Lunar Festival has some unique opportunities to get cosmetic stuff for your character. These events are only available during Halloween week. The Lunar festival has three new quests that take you through strikes, the Court of Oryx, the Crucible and much more. These quests require you to wear certain masks obtained through Eva Levante and there is 16 masks in all. You get more masks by obtaining candy and filling up your bag or by using silver. Candy is collected by killing enemies or guardians in the crucible. Buying silver has its advantage. You get more access to legendary masks that you get to keep after the festival. You can (or so i'm told) get legendary masks without paying money, but it is significantly harder.

I really like the festival! The tower is decked out with decorations and you can occasionally hear some screams. The new quests and filling your bag up with candy is also a fun way to pass some time. I've yet to get my hands on the skull mask, which, is by far the coolest looking mask. My quest will continue and hopefully I'll collect a lot of the masks by the end of the Lunar Festival.
