There's no denying that
Fallout 76 should not have been released last Wednesday in its current, utterly sad, and pretty frustrating state. Not only Bethesda’s latest offering features many systemic designs that never seem to work together and regularly contradict themselves, but even the mighty 57GB day-one patch (that is bigger than the actual game) doesn't improve the complicated situation.
While some players can't even uninstall or launch the broken title, there is Reddit user Brogadyn who has to deal with an entirely different, pretty hilarious issue. According to the said user, his in-game character in actually unkillable, as she "
can even eat a nuke blast to the face and be fine. There is literally zero ways that she can die even if I wanted her to (which I very much do at this point)."
While playing with god-mode might be a lot of fun when you want to use one, the fact that
Fallout 76 is forcing the player to use cheats should tell you everything you need to know about the current shape of this multiplayer title. Bragadyn apparently asked Bethesda to kill his
Fallout 76 avatar, but the publisher waited until yesterday to respond to him with basic information that doesn't fix the problem.
In the long list of bugs, glitches and overall issues found in
Fallout 76 since the game launched last week, this one is undoubtedly one of the funniest ones. Judging by how things look at the moment, Bethesda has lots of work ahead of them to get
Fallout 76 in a playable state, but even if the acclaimed developers somehow get their act together and fix the game, it all might be simply too little, too late.
Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person. Work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.
