Bethesda's latest game, online-focused
Fallout 76 will be finally released tomorrow for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to play the game at launch, as you will be forced to download a day one patch that is bigger than the actual game's 45GB. Right now,
Fallout 76's size is closing in on a whopping 100GB, almost beating huge
Red Dead Redemption 2's 105GB file size.
The publisher addressed the game's current shape and plans for the post-launch support in a special letter that was posted yesterday on Twitter. The letter reveals that Arkane Studios, id Software, and ZeniMax Online have helped Bethesda in creating the multiplayer title, which means that every single Bethesda in-house studio was working on the game at some point, except for MachineGames and Tango Gameworks.
Not that long ago, Bethesda announced that the upcoming launch of
Fallout 76 is just a starting line and players may (and will) encounter new spectacular issues during their playthrough. This statement is not that surprising, as players know well that Bethesda's glitches and bugs have become their hallmark and even their best-reviewed titles like
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim aren't actually polished.
Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person. Work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.
Fallout 76 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC November 14, 2018.
