Bethesda revealed a ton of information about Fallout 76 during their recent E3 presentation.
You play as an inhabitant of Vault 76 tasked with rebuilding the wasteland outside. Fallout 76 takes place earlier in the timeline than any game before it. Bethesda discussed new rendering and lighting technology that help make the world bigger and more detailed; earlier today, during Microsoft's conference, Bethesda confirmed the world of Fallout 76 will be four times larger than Fallout 4's.
Bethesda confirmed that the game will be online-only and multiplayer-centric - though they did mention that it can also be played solo.
Multiple instructional videos, in the franchise's signature Vault-Tec style, showed off some multiplayer gameplay - in which it was revealed that dying does not reset your progress like previous games. The developer also teased a feature in which nuclear missile sites around the map can be raided and used to wipe out hostile players.
An open beta will be available later this year to those who pre-order the upcoming Fallout prequel. Fallout 76 will be releasing on November 14th.
