Earlier today, Bethesda released Fallout 76 update 1.0.2.0, a massive patch that increased maximum stash storage, improved PC performance, stabilized client and game servers, and slightly balanced and tweaked several gameplay mechanics. Alongside today's update came Bethesda's weekly "Inside the Vault," a blog post that highlights the current patch schedule.

Looking ahead, Bethesda remains on track to release a patch on December 11. This will include new settings for PC players, C.A.M.P. improvements, and the ability to respec your SPECIAL points after level 50. It will also include a new C.A.M.P. "Bulldoze" feature that will allow you to remove small trees, rocks, and other obstructions so you can place your C.A.M.P. more easily.

Bethesda is hoping to release another patch on December 18 with a focus on stability and "other concerns raised by the community."

But perhaps the most exciting feature fans can look forward to won't arrive until early 2019. That is when Bethesda will look to release "a variety of in-game events" in Fallout 76. Taking place over the course of a week, Bethesda says these events "will be different every time, and will often provide a small buff or create an interesting twist on normal gameplay." We'll hopefully learn more about these new in-game events as the year comes to a close and we turn the calendar page to 2019.

Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person. Work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.

Released last month, Fallout 76 has been met with resistance due to its departure from the series norm as a standard single-player RPG. Additionally, game-breaking bugs and glitches have marred the overall gameplay experience. Fallout 76 is currently in a rough playable state right now; but, it's nice to see Bethesda engaging with the community and working diligently to fix these issues and implement new features that'll hopefully lead to a better, brighter future for the game.

Fallout 76 is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
