Not that long ago, Bethesda announced that the upcoming launch of
Fallout 76 is just a starting line and players may (and will) encounter new spectacular issues during their playthrough. This statement is not that suppressing, as players know well that Bethesda's glitches and bugs have become their hallmark and even their best-reviewed titles like
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim aren't actually polished.
The
Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. has ended and left the fanbase with rather mixed feelings, as the title is actively pushing the limits even further with a single bug forcing the beta testers to rewnload the nearly 48GB code for the game one more time and even making it impossible for some to get the game installed. While it may seem like a major oversight, it's nothing compared to the issue mentioned below.
Fallout 76 on its own is about 45GB, but Bethesda plans on rolling out a whopping 54GB day one patch. That's right,
Fallout 76's day one patch is bigger than the actual game, as its total file size is closing in on a whopping 100GB, almost beating enormous
Red Dead Redemption 2's 105GB file size. Let's hope this day one patch fixes all major technical issues and it's not a big waste of everybody's time.
Bethesda Game Studios, the award-winning creators of Skyrim and Fallout 4, welcome you to Fallout 76, the online prequel where every surviving human is a real person. Work together, or not, to survive. Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe.
Fallout 76 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC November 14, 2018.
