The recently announced
Far Cry: New Dawn is a narrative sequel to
Far Cry 5, showing the player how the Hope County community has evolved 17 years after the nuclear war we've seen in one of
Far Cry 5's endings. In
New Dawn, The Father is replaced by The Twins, the leaders of the dangerous new threat the Highwaymen, who seek to take over the last remaining resources of this ruined world.
Ubisoft has released an extended
Far Cry: New Dawn overview that gives you a chance to see what has changed in Hope County since the events seen in
Far Cry 5. In
New Dawn, you can recruit Specialists to upgrade your homebase, who will help unlock all new features including crafting weapons, gear and more, as you can take up arms on your own or with a friend in a two player co-op experience.
The game's producers Jean-Sebastian Decant and James Nadiger has also revealed that
New Dawn will follow
RAGE 2's path of moving away from the established in popular media vision of the post-apocalyptic world. According to the development team, their vision of the end times is teeming with life and color, and you will even visit other parts of the ruined US in some special missions. Take a look:
