One of the best elements of the
Far Cry series are charismatic and usually fascinating antagonists, from
Far Cry 3's Vaas Montenegro (played by the one and only Michael Mando) to disturbing and morally ambiguous Pagan Min from
Far Cry 4. This year's
Far Cry will introduce yet another seemingly crazy character to love and hate, Joseph Seed. But this time, he takes his family with him to work.
The short featurette gives me hope that the Seed family will give players a hard time. Introduced in the video John is responsible for the marketing of The Project at Eden's Gate, his older brother's attempt on taking control over Hope County. He's afraid of Joseph and respects him as head of the dangerous cult which brings the terror and violence to the peaceful Montana. Take a look:
Welcome to Hope County, Montana, home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as The Project at Eden’s Gate that is threatening the community's freedom. Stand up to the cult’s leader, Joseph Seed and the Heralds, and spark the fires of resistance that will liberate the besieged community. In this expansive world, your limits and creativity will be tested against the biggest and most ruthless baddest enemy Far Cry has ever seen. It’ll be wild and it’ll get weird, but as long as you keep your wits about you, the residents of Hope County can rest assured you’re their beacon of hope.
Join the Resistance on March 27, 2018, with Far Cry 5. Available on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
