The post-launch support for Far Cry 5 might have ended, but it looks like a brand new journey set in the beloved universe unfolds, as Ubisoft just announced that a brand new Far Cry video game will be officially revealed tomorrow at The Game Awards 2018, at 5:30PM PST/8:30PM EST. The very first teaser for the game suggests that this Far Cry 5 sequel is heading into a pretty Fallout-y direction.
Yes, if you've completed Far Cry 5, you know that no matter what you do, there's no good ending in the game. One of them gives you a chance to try and bring the game's main antagonist Joseph Seed to justice and if you decide to capture him, there's only one problem on your way - the fact that a nuclear war just begun, killing your partners and leaving you on your own with Seed in a forgotten bunker.
It looks like this newly announced title will continue that version of Far Cry 5 storyline. The fact that a Ubisoft survey from 2015 included a "Far Cry game set in a Mad Max style post-apocalyptic world," clearly indicates that Far Cry will go full Fallout. Considering that Bethesda's latest offering is crushing and burning, it's extremely interesting to see what Ubisoft is bringing to the post-apo table.
