Epic Games has released the 3.5 Content Update for
Fortnite, introducing new features and content into both
Battle Royale and
Save the World.
For
Battle Royale fans, the 50v50 Limited Time Mode is back and bigger than before. As the name suggests, this mode features two teams of 50 players each battling to the end, unlike the traditional solo, duo, and squad (4-player) modes. The specific changes made to v2 of this mode can be read in the patch notes below.
Additionally,
Battle Royale sees the arrival of the Light Machine Gun, a beastly weapon featuring a fast rate of fire and 100-round magazines capable of pinning down enemy squads from a distance.
For those of you into PvE, there’s a new “Into the Storm: Encore” questline for
Save the World.
“Venture into the storm with Lars, great treasures and dangers await. Overcome these challenges and unlock your choice of one of the new Cyberpunk Heroes,” the description teases.
The Mercury LMG neon weapon has also been added to the Event Store.
“This energy machine gun has a massive magazine containing enough firepower to annihilate an entire wave of Husks!”
And of course, today’s update features tons of balance changes and bug fixes. Check out the full patch notes for Fortnite update 3.5.

Interestingly, today's update did not destroy Tilted Towers as many had expected it would. For the past few weeks now, players have been tracking meteors in the sky, predicting they were headed to Tilted Towers as a way for Epic Games to rehaul the map. In the recent days, the meteors have gotten closer and closer, suggesting they would finally strike with today's update. That didn't happen and now players are left wondering when they will finally hit. Of course, this is only one theory, though it is the most popular one out there. Do you think Tilted Towers will get leveled soon?
