Epic Games has released the third content update for Fortnite v9.30. Today's update introduces the Air Strike, a new explosive item of sorts. Really, it's just a grenade-like canister that when thrown releases colored smoke that calls down a missile strike on the location.

Missiles, which spawn from about 120 meters above the smoke canister shortly after it comes to a rest, aim for random points within a nine meter radius of the thrown object. A total of 20 missiles will rain down from the sky, each with an explosion radius of 3.5 meters that deals 75 damage to players and 200 damage to structures. The Air Strike drops in stacks of one (max stack of two) seems like a powerful weapon designed to counter really good builders.

The Air Strike is the third new weapon/item introduced into Fortnite with update v9.30. It follows last week's Drum Shotgun and the week prior's Revolver. Thankfully, today's content update didn't send any current weapons or items to the vault.

The update also introduces four new Galleries for Creative: Car Gallery B, Snow & Mud Floor Gallery, Grass & Sand Floor Gallery, and Lava Floor Gallery.

What do you think of the new Air Strike? Does it seem a bit too overpowered?
