Everything will begin with Fortnite’s World Cup that will be a ten week event with prizes of $1m per week, lasting from April 13 to June 16. You do have to be an eligible player though, the definition of this is down below. If you have a buddy that can join you in these events, then you can hop on for the Duos competition. If you like going through these roads by yourself then by all means. The top 100 Solo players as well as the top 50 Duos teams will be able to join the World Cup Finals in New York City from July 26-28 with a humongous $30m prize pool.

According to Epic Games, each player is guaranteed to receive a minimum of $50k, could be much more, with the top player also known as the Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion receiving $3m. This prize pool is the biggest prize pool that any Esports tournament has ever seen.

Epic Games is not done yet, it will also continue to give away $1m in cash every week throughout the whole year, that is an impressive 9 months of prizes. It also claims that those tournaments will have multiple modes so more players can join the battle as well as sharing with select partners some tournament tools and prizing so more countries can be part of this. The company is doing this with efforts of being able to fulfill its promise of giving away $100m by the end of the year. What do you think about this tournament? Are you planning on joining?
