Overwatch is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Earlier this month at BlizzCon, Blizzard Entertainment announced Overwatch 2. The sequel will retain the first-person shooter, competitive multiplayer of its predecessor but also introduce some new PvE content such as an actual story mode.

Recently, it was revealed that the campaign mode of Overwatch 2 will be similar in length to that of your average AAA first-person shooter. With that in mind, the campaign could be anywhere from five hours in length to fifteen. Lead writer Michael Chu recently revealed another interesting tidbit about the game's story mode.

According to Chu (via Gamespot), players will assume the role of multiple different characters throughout the campaign. Given that the playable character roster consists of over twenty heroes and villains, it's unlikely that all of these characters will be utilised in the story mode.

However, it will certainly be interesting to see the different perspectives that different characters bring to the table as you play as and alongside them during story missions.
