PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds creator Brendan Greene has issued an updated statement regarding the frames per second of the highly anticipated Xbox One game

Following previous reports that the Xbox One X version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds would run at 60 frames per second, the game's creator Brendan Greene has since clarified that statement.

Greene took to Twitter to confirm that PUBG will run at 30 FPS on all Xbox One devices, Xbox One X included. It seems his previous statement was referring to the overall development of the game and not launch day.

"We’re constantly refining the game & exploring options to increase FPS," Greene explained, "but this early in dev, we’re unable to confirm more."

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has been incredibly popular on Steam, reaching over two million simultaneous players on the platform. Will this recent news impact its sales on Xbox One? Unlikely, given the popularity of the gameplay itself, but it's probably still disappointing to Xbox One X owners.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will be coming to Xbox One Preview Program on December 12. On a somewhat related now, PUBG fans will want to tune in to The Game Awards this Thursday as we've been promised first ever gameplay on the upcoming desert map.
