id has pushed the release date for the post-apocalyptic first-person shooter from September to October

It looks like fans of id Software will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on RAGE, the upcoming post-apocalyptic first-person shooter from the developer. The game was previously set for a September 13 release, but it will now be hitting retailers on October 4. RAGE will have its work cutout for it as there is some stiff competition sharing the release date, including Dark Souls, Twisted Metal, NBA 2K12, and The Darkness II.

RAGE features intense first-person shooter action, breakneck vehicle combat, an expansive world to explore and jaw-dropping graphics powered by id’s revolutionary id Tech 5 technology.
