SouthPeak Games and MySoti.com have launched a competition to design a Section 8 T-shirt, which will be worn at gaming events around the globe and bought by fans of the game, eager to show their support for the futuristic multiplayer shooter.
MySoti.com is a website that sees designers creating and selling their own T-shirts and artwork. For the contest, entrants will need to make their own unique Section 8 design based around the theme of ‘burning in’. This is the game’s innovative and high-impact method of eliminating spawn camping, which sees players shooting down to the multiplayer maps from spaceships 15,000ft above the battlefield.
The contest is open from September 11th until midnight (BST) on September 30th. The best design will be chosen by SouthPeak Games and MySoti and the winner will walk away with a copy of the game, an Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and a 32” HD TV. “We’re delighted to be working with MySoti.com,” said Rob Burman, European PR Manager, SouthPeak Games. “We’re sure that the website’s dedicated group of designers will come up with some excellent ideas and we can’t wait to see the fantastic results.”
Steve Hunt, Founder of MySoti and an avid gamer is equally as enthusiastic. “Section 8 promises to be an incredibly innovative title from SouthPeak Games,” he said, “and with our amazingly creative community of designers at MySoti, we’re excited to see them produce T-shirt artwork worthy of such an incredible prize.”
