This is a very simple, yet addictive game mode according to the Star Wars
Battlefront website. In this game mode is a 10 v 10 death-match in close quarters on smaller maps. The first team to 100 kills comes out on top. Lead Level Designer Dennis Brännvall had this to say about the Blast Mode saying,
“One battle you’ll be fighting within interior levels on Endor or Sullust. In the next battle, you might find yourselves among Tatooine’s dusty canyons, or inside the undeniably cool Ice Caves on Hoth. My favorite is the verticality of Tatooine, fighting by the Sandcrawler.”
Another key feature to this mode is that there are no Heroes, Villains or vehicles. They mention that weapon load-out and weapons across the map are more crucial in this mode.
“Whether you pick up a Droid scanning for nearby enemies or a turret that’ll control a zone for you, the pickups can really turn the tide of a Blast match,” says Brännvall. “They are not around every corner though, so keep your eyes peeled.”
This give players the chance to enjoy all aspects of the game and not just the huge brawls on the bigger maps. Those who want multiplayer without all the huge mess can gear up and just kill whatever enemy soldier they see. Good luck out there!
