There aren't that many stories of redemption like the one Electronic Arts and DICE have lived with their controversial Star Wars: Battlefront II. As many may remember, the game got a lot of backlash due to microtransactions and ridiculous amounts of grinding needed to unlock characters who didn't want to pay for them.
Thankfully, the developers came to their senses and began releasing quite a lot of free content to the game — not to mention that the game is fairly cheap these days, too — which finally made fans pick it up and actually enjoy it for what it was; while it may have taken a long time, the game is now actually worth your time.
Just last month,
EA and DICE revealed that players would be able to get the Luke Skywalker farmboy skin in
Star Wars: Battlefront II, and this month's update is bringing Yavin Ceremony outfits — as seen in the ending of
Star Wars: A New Hope — for both Luke Skywalker and Han Solo.
According to a Community Transmission posted on the official
Star Wars: Battlefront II website, players will be able to obtain the Yavin Ceremony Luke Skywalker by participating in a special event; once the even ends, Yavin Ceremony Luke will become available for 40,000 in-game credits or 1,000 crystals.
Similarly, Yavin Ceremony Han Solo's appearance will be classified as Epic and will also become available for 40,000 in-game credits or by purchasing 1,000 crystals with real world money; givig players the choice to either grind for the character's skin, or flat out pay for it.
According to the information on latest Community Transmission, both Yavin Luke and Yavin Han Solo will be joining
Star Wars: Battlefront II when the "Another Night on Endor" update goes live next week, on
Wednesday the 23rd of October.
The developers only gave us a look at the Yavin Ceremony Luke Skywakler skin, so we'll have to wait a little bit more to see Han's Yavin Ceremony appearance. In the meantime, be sure to take a look at the glorious new skin down below.
