Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has received widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike, particularly for its compelling narrative revolving around lead Cal Kestis.
Played by Cameron Monaghan, the character attempts to find a permanent escape from the Empire in the sequel and is betrayed by one of his closest allies along the way. As a result, we see Cal tempted by the Dark Side, with players actually given the chance to tap into that in order to lay waste to enemies during the game's final act.
The hope is that a third instalment will continue following the Jedi's battle with his darker impulses, and we now have a very good indication that a threequel is indeed in the works from EA.
A post on LinkedIn (which we first shared on SFFGazette.com) reveals that the company is looking to hire a, "highly skilled Principal Game Writer who will embrace our philosophy and share their hard-earned expertise to help us create an incredible Star Wars experience for our players in a fun, third-person action-adventure setting."
That sounds an awful lot like a new instalment of this Star Wars Jedi series and lines up with what the franchise's director previously said about the plan being to tell this story across a trilogy of games.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was a hit, anyway, so we'll hopefully have more details to share with you soon.

Picking up five years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order, Jedi: Survivor is a third-person, narrative-driven action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games.
No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight.
Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in - with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC.
