Between Avalanche Studios' development duties on last year's moderately successful
Just Cause 4 and the upcoming
RAGE 2, the Swedish game developer has somehow found enough time to work on their first new IP in years –
Generation Zero. In the upcoming FPS, you will find yourself battling against cutting-edge machines that have ruthlessly invaded the serene countryside of 1980’s Sweden.
Generation Zero was supposed to be the first Avalanche self-published video game in the studio's history, but that plan has changed and the title will be distributed worldwide by THQ Nordic. On Thursday, both companies proudly announced that
Generation Zero will be released worldwide on the 26th of March, simultaneously coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One (for $39,99), and PC (for $34,99).
If you're interested in
G0 and would like to support the project right now, you can start thinking about purchasing the game's Collector’s Edition that will be available at selected retailers in USA and Europe for $79.99 - €79.99. This edition of
G0 will feature a premium steelbook game case, a cloth map of the game world, a t-shirt, and an unique
Generation Zero take on the traditional dala horse statue.
Take a look:
Welcome to 1980’s Sweden. The local population has gone missing, and machines of unknown origin roam the streets. Explore this vast open world to unravel the mystery of the invaders, perfect your fighting strategies and prepare to strike back. In Generation Zero, living is winning.
Generation Zero is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 26th 2019.
