Developed by Ubisoft Massive and the same teams that worked on
Tom Clancy’s The Division, the upcoming sequel is set in Washington D.C. and takes place seven months after the deadly virus was released in New York and ruined the once-great city. As recently revealed by Ubisoft Store,
The Division 2 can be played alone or with up to 3 friends in a 40-hour campaign in the torn and boiling capital.
After these estimated 40 hours, you will have a chance to experience brand new endgame activities (including improving and upgrading your new base – the White House) with the arrival of
The Division 2’s deadliest enemy faction, the Black Tusks, that will even use robotic dogs to kill all the agents. To face that new threat, you will have to choose your "
specialization" weapon: a crossbow, a grenade launcher or a sniper rifle, with three more special skills coming to the game after its launch.
Ubisoft has seemingly decided to do what it can to overshadow EA's
Anthem and is releasing brand new
The Division 2 videos on a daily basis, this time focusing entirely on the endgame, a feature that is a big unknown when in comes to BioWare’s next major thing. Besides the fresh trailer with Creative Director Julian Gerighty's commentary, various gaming outlets have shared their hands-on impressions filled with never-before-seen gameplay footage, so be sure to check them out down below:
Washington D.C. is on the brink of collapse. Lawlessness and instability threaten our society, and rumors of a coup in the capitol are only amplifying the chaos. All active Division agents are desperately needed to save the city before it's too late. You are a member of the Division, an elite group of civilian agents charged with being the last line of defense. With DC at risk, it's time to gear up and use your unique skills to take on this new threat.
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will be available March 15th, 2019 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
