Ubisoft Reveals New Details On TOM CLANCY'S THE DIVISION 2 Biggest Threat - The True Sons

The fact that Ubisoft’s all major games for 2018 already launched allows the French publisher to focus on promoting Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. The title was one of the games announced during this year's E3 and showcased at the biggest stages, including Microsoft's. Set in Washington D.C., the MMO takes place seven months after a deadly virus was released in New York and ruined the city.

Just like in The Division, the sequel will spotlight people who banded together to survive by any means possible. Ubisoft has unveiled the first faction that you will have a chance to meet in Tom Clancy's The Division 2 - The True Sons, a militaristic faction made up of radical mutineers and trained criminals, led by the traitor Antwon Ridgeway who strongly believes that "might makes right."

Ubisoft revealed that "In Ridgeway’s eyes, he had done nothing wrong. According to him, he was the only one with a realistic and viable solution to the situation. Therefore, the betrayal of his fellow officers filled him with rage and hate towards the JTF and the federal government. As soon as he got out, he gathered men from his former unit and the stockade where he was held prisoner. Together they captured the JTF officers that had imprisoned him and held a symbolic tribunal for them, only to execute them all moments later – and so True Sons were born." Some similarities to Far Cry 5 are felt.

The True Sons will be represented by 10 different enemy types, including the Medic who possesses the rare ability to revive fallen allies and even shock his enemies if necessary. While he doesn't sound like a major threat, the fact that he can bring killed enemies to life will definitely make the situation more complex. You should remember that the Sons are just one of the sequel's factions and more will be revealed as we approach Tom Clancy's The Division 2's launch in the middle of March.
