During the Nitnendo Direct Mini presentation that was livestreamed last month, developer 2K Games revealed that quite a bunch of some of their most critically acclaimed titles were making their way into the Nintendo Switch — which, to be quite fair, came as a very pleasant surprise .
XCOM 2 Collection was one of the games that were revealed to launch for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of May, alongside other heavy hitters like Borderlands: Legendary Collection, remastered versions of BioShock and BioShock 2, as well as BioShock Infinite: The Complete Collection.
Much like the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC(Steam) versions of XCOM 2 Collection, the upcoming title will also give Switch players the full experience; meaning that the base game and all of the downloadable content released for it will also be available for Switch users to play on-the-go.
Given that XCOM 2 Collection is the direct sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown — which is a game that hasn't been released on the Switch — Nintendo and 2K Games have released an introductory video that tells players everything they need to know about this new game, while also providing some details about its prequel.

The XCOM® 2 Collection includes the award-winning strategy game XCOM 2, four DLC packs (Resistance Warrior Pack, Anarchy’s Children, Alien Hunters, Shen’s Last Gift) and the War of the Chosen expansion all in one package. Activate any of the additional content (DLCs and the Expansion) or just play the base game.
XCOM 2 Collection will release for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of May.
