With Season Two launching for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone next week, Activision and Treyarch have released a cinematic trailer. The video sets the tone for what's to come in Season 2, which will take players to the jungles of Laos in Southeast Asia.
For those keeping up with the story, Season 2 picks up after the attack on The Pines, with Adler taken hostage. The trailer follows a team of soldiers in pursuit of someone named Naga -- a Perseus operative who has been distributing the deadly Nova 6 gas (which is being sent to Verdansk). We get a pretty good look at Naga, who appears to be quite the ruthless villain.
The video ends with an impressive action sequence that possibly highlights some of the new weapons that are likely headed to the game, including a Crossbow and Galil automatic rifle. The highlight, however, is the massive minigun. It's not confirmed that any of these weapons will actually appear in the game, but with Season 2 approaching, Treyarch should be revealing more details soon.
Get ready to descend into the heart of the Golden Triangle as Frank Woods and his team go on the hunt for Russell Adler, who went missing at the end of Season One after being captured by Stitch. But the strike team finds a new adversary in the form of Kapono “Naga” Vang, a ruthless trafficker of Nova 6.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 2 will go live on February 25. In the meantime, arriving this week is Treyarch's Throwback Moshpit, a new playlist featuring fan-favorites Raid, Express, and Nuketown ’84 in a variety of respawn modes; Snipers Only moshpit, a 6v6 competition with only sniper rifles; and double XP and double Battle Pass XP starting this weekend.
