Though originally set to launch on June 3rd, the fourth season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone's post-launch content was indefinitely postponed — as to not detract attention from the currently ongoing #BlackLivesMatter protests that are enrapturing most of the United States, even the world at large.
Similarly, Infinity Ward recently made it clear that they're going to make more of an effort to eradicate racism from the Call of Duty playerbase — find out more on that here.
While Activision and Infinity Ward themselves are yet to announce a new launch date for the upcoming season, some dataminers believe that they have potentially uncovered exactly when Season 4 will go live. Particularly, a prominent dataminer by the name of MW2 OG claims to have found evidence that Season 4 will kick off on Tuesday, June 9th.
What's more, another reputable source called ModernWarzone has backed up the dataminer's claim. Specifically, it's said that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 will begin on June 9th at 11 PM PST.
Of course, though, none of this is official confirmation. So, bear that in mind and take it with a grain of salt. Nevertheless, Infinity Ward and Activision will likely announce the new launch date for Season 4 either tomorrow or on Monday — should it now be scheduled to go live on Tuesday as suspected. We will be sure to let you know as soon as a new launch date is announced.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone are both out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
