As part of Fortnite's V5.0 Content Update, an all new submachine gun has been added to the Battle Royale Mode. The weapon comes in Uncommon, Common and Rare Variants. It does 19-21 base damage, uses light ammo and has a 30-round capacity. These capabilities make it ideal for intense close range battles when being pushed by other players.

Unfortunately, with the addition of the new submachine gun, the tactical SMG has been vaulted. This decision was likely made due to a balancing issue because the tactical SMG was lethal at close range and had a 35-round capacity.

In addition, the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle has had its damage increased from 63/66 to 75/78.

What do you think about this new Submachine gun and the loss of the tactical SMG? Let us know in the comments section.

Fortnite Battle Royale is the FREE 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite. One giant map. A battle bus. Fortnite building skills and destructible environments combined with intense PvP combat. The last one standing wins. Available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One & Mac.
