As is a regular occurrence,
Fortnite Battle Royale will be receiving a new weapon shortly. Announced via the in-game news feed, the Drum Gun will be arriving soon. Though no specific details were revealed alongside it, it's brief description reads: "New weapon with a high capacity drum magazine and a quick rate of fire."
The Drum Gun was actually previously outed by
Storm Shield One when it was discovered in the game files earlier this week. According to the files, the Drum Gun will come in both Uncommon (Green) and Rare (Blue) forms. The stats for the Drum Gun were also revealed, though they could change by the time the weapon arrives.

At first glance, the Drum Gun appears very similar to the real-life Thompson Submachine gun, a popular weapon during the Prohibition era, used by both gangsters and law enforcement officials. Fittingly, themed cosmetics that would match the Drum Gun were leaked with update v4.5.0, according to
fnbr.co (via
Fortnite Intel).
