OVERWATCH: UPRISING Announcement Video Teases Possible Second Mission In “File 0274”

It appears based on a video announcing the return of Overwatch: Uprising next week, that the lore-based seasonal mode will introduce a second mission, possibly taking place before King's Row.

Last week, Blizzard announced the return of Overwatch: Uprising, the lore-based seasonal co-op event, on April 10th.

Uprising is a co-op Arcade brawl mode that takes place in a modified version of King’s Row, as you are sent seven years into the past to a pivotal moment in history from before the fall of Overwatch. It seems, however, that this year’s event could introduce a second mission into the mix.

In a teaser video released over the weekend, the computer access “Archives File 0382” - the original story mission from last year starring Tracer, Mercy, Reinhardt, and Torbjörn as they fight through the streets of King’s Row to quell an uprising led by Null Sector, a group of omnics. Towards the end of the video, for just a brief second, the computer pulls up “Archives File 0274.” Check it out below.

Blizzard clearly included this intentionally, although at this point the contents of File 0274 remain a mystery. Based on file number alone, it would suggest that if this is a new mission, it will take place before the King’s Row attack. Perhaps it’s another mission featuring a different set of heroes. With Overwatch: Uprising returning April 10th, we should get an official announcement any day now.
