Star Wars Battlefront II will celebrate its first anniversary next month and it looks like developer DICE is ready to give players the very first gift as General Grievous is joining the roster. The villain debuted in George Lucas' conclusion of the prequel trilogy in
Revenge of the Sith back in 2005. While many audience members consider Darth Vader's origin story weak, Grievous was an intriguing character.
The publisher has announced that the
General Grievous Update will bring the dreaded commander’s mercilessness to
Star Wars Battlefront II on October 30. In the shooter, Grievous is designed to instigate fear and feel like an overwhelming opponent. His body frame is among the largest compared to any other character in the game, and he engages in combat with two (sometimes four) lightsabers.
Another to-be-announced General Grievous Appearance will come on November 28 with the
Battle of Geonosis Update, marking the arrival of Obi-Wan Kenobi himself and the planet of Geonosis to the Galactic Assault multiplayer mode. Naturally. the
General Grievous Update will also introduce a couple of tweaks to the game. In the meantime, be sure to take a look at
Battlefront II's version of Grievous:
Forge a new path as Iden Versio, commander of Inferno Squad—an Imperial special forces unit equally lethal on the ground and in space. Encounter many of Star Wars' greatest characters in a story of revenge, betrayal, and redemption that spans 30 years. Hurtle between the rooftops of Theed in a speeding starfighter, cut swaths through armies of Clones with Darth Maul, and build your legacy on the battlefield.
