EA SPORTS COLLEGE FOOTBALL 25 Reveals The Best-Rated Teams At Launch

With just a few weeks until the return of EA's college football video game series, the developer/publisher has spent the last week revealing team ratings for this year. Seeing as how this is the first college football video game in 10 years, there's a ton of hype and excitement as well as plenty of debate over EA's initial overall ratings.

At the top of the power rankings for EA Sports College Football 25 is the Georgia Bulldogs with a 95 overall rating (94 Offense OVR, 94 Defense OVR). Seeing as how dominant Georgia has been these past couple of years, and how well their recruiting has been, it's hard to argue against their spot at the top of the charts.

Behind them is the Ohio State Buckeyes at No. 2 with a 93 overall rating (89 Offense OVR 96 Defense OVR). At No. 3 is Oregon with a 93 overall rating (94 Offense OVR, 90 Defense OVR). To find the Michigan Wolverine's last year's National Champions, you've got to go all the way down to No. 11 where they sit with an 88 overall rating.

It's possible that the ratings will change over the course of the year, but for launch, these are the best-rated teams. Of course, part of the fun of a college football video game is booting up Dynasty mode, taking the head coaching position at a small school, and turning it into a team that can compete with the annual powerhouses like Georgia and Ohio State.

EA Sports College Football 25 is set to launch on July 19, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
