Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games have wasted absolutely no time announcing the next entry in The Dark Pictures Anthology, as they release a very intriguing teaser trailer for the series' brand-new episode: House of Ashes.
The teaser trailer for The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes doesn't really tell us much about the story, but it does reveal that it will be taking place in the modern day, and during some kind of armed conflict in a desert-like setting that could well-be the Middle East.
Now, both The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan and the recently released The Dark Pictures: Little Hope take place in the present, but the stories told by The Curator take place in the past. Those stories that take place in the past seamlessly connect with the events happening to the characters in the present, and that'll likely be the case in The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes.
This is all pure speculation, since neither Bandai Namco nor Supermassive Games have revealed any details about the game other than this cryptic teaser trailer, but we do know that The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes is expected to launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S at a yet to be determined date in 2021.
The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan launched in August of 2019 and The Dark Pictures: Little Hope was actually released a bit over a week ago on Halloween, so chances are that Supermassive Games' new entry in the multiplayer horror series will launch at some point in either Q2 or Q3 of next year.
