Since it was revealed that
Marvel's Avengers will be a predominantly singleplayer game, players have been unsure what the game will have to offer once its campaign is completed. In a recent interview with the
Daily Star, the upcoming video game's director discussed this very topic.
Studio Creative Director, Noah Hughes, detailed what players should expect in terms of endgame content. Hughes explained that once players complete the game's story mode, threats don't simply disappear. Instead, there are
"greater threats" than there were beforehand.
The endgame content is more difficult than the actual campaign and gets more and more difficult as you progress. This will incentivise players to make use of organised cooperation with your fellow Avengers. As you progress and level up, you'll unlock cosmetic rewards. Hughes teases that there will be a lot of levels for players to get throught.
The game director also teased that the post-campaign content will include
"much larger villains," and raid-like activities. This is all on top of the heroes and maps that Crystal Dynamics will be adding to the game for free.
Marvel's Avengers is set to release on May 15th, 2020 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC.
