Square Enix's
The Avengers Project - the highly, but incredibly mysterious game from developer Crystal Dynamics - will finally be revealed next month. The publisher had been
teasing the reveal for over a month now, but the official Marvel Entertainment Twitter account finally confirmed the exciting news.
First teased all the way back in December 2017, we haven't seen or heard much officially about
The Avengers Project, which is seemingly just now being called
Marvel's Avengers. That will change next month during Square Enix Live at E3 2019. The publisher will host a live stream on Monday, June 10 that will showcase many of its upcoming titles. We'll presumably be shown gameplay footage of
Marvel's Avengers, though nothing has been confirmed just yet. Still, it's exciting that we'll at least get a better idea of what
The Avengers Project actually is.
The first teaser, released in 2017, briefly showed snippets of the Avengers' main weapons in disarray after what appeared to be some sort of devastating loss. A voice teased: "The world will always need heroes. We just need to reassemble."
A game based on beloved Marvel heroes, The Avengers project is being crafted by Crystal Dynamics – longtime developers of the award winning Tomb Raider series – in collaboration with lauded Deus Ex developer Eidos-Montréal. The Avengers project is being designed for gamers worldwide and will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise. Featuring a completely original story, it will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come.
Marvel's Avengers (or
The Avengers Project) doesn't yet have a release date nor do we know what platforms it'll be released for. Hopefully, that'll change next month.
