Just like in the real-world paper version of the game,
Mutant Year Zero will give you a chance to use your skills and forward thinking to survive in a hostile, dangerous environment.
Mutant is set in a "post-human" world which was destroyed during the nuclear holocaust. When the dust has settled, the real children of atom became the only remaining survivors and the last hope of humanity.
It looks like every fan of the X-
COM series should look forward to The Bearded Ladies' tactical shooter, as Funcom has released a brand new video guide featuring some fresh gameplay footage that is just phenomenal.
Mutant is just nice to look at, and the fact that the Swedish studio is building the title on the latest edition of Epic's Unreal Engine 4 gives it a nice, modern, but still unique vibe.
The Bearded Ladies studio is clearly inspired by the
X-COM and
Phantom Doctrine series, giving you a chance to embark on a journey with the titular mutants that can be equipped with game-changing abilities, like flaying.
Year Zero will feature two different perspectives in the exploring and battle mode, and the developers have revealed that you will be punished if you're not clever. Take a look:
A tactical adventure game combining the turn-based combat of XCOM with story, exploration, stealth, and strategy. Take control of a team of Mutants navigating a post-human Earth. Created by a team including former HITMAN leads and the designer of PAYDAY.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden will be releasing on December 4, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
