The official Gears of War Prototype Lancer Replica sold out almost immediately after pre-orders opened, prompting Xbox to extend availability with a second production wave. Fans who missed the initial window now have until Friday, August 28 at 5 p.m. PT to place an order.

The first wave of replicas, which was scheduled to ship in November, disappeared within hours of going live on the Xbox Game Studios shop. In response, the official Gears of War account announced that a second batch has been opened. Orders placed in this extended window are expected to ship in February 2027.

The replica is a full-scale 1:1 reproduction of the Prototype Lancer featured in the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day. Unlike the iconic chainsaw version that defined the original trilogy, this earlier model uses a bayonet. It measures 36 inches long, 14 inches tall, and 8 inches wide, weighs six pounds, and is constructed from ABS and PVC. Engineers created the molds directly from in-game assets, and each piece receives custom hand-painted "E-Day" weathering. A display stand is included.

Priced at $299.99, the replica is currently listed as available for pre-order on the official Xbox Game Studios shop. Earlier reports indicated limited international shipping options and higher postage costs for buyers outside North America, though some regions have reported the ability to complete orders with elevated shipping fees.

For fans of the games, the next entry Gears of War: E-Day launches on October 6, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S and PC. The prequel is set during the initial Locust emergence and marks the first time players will use this bayonet-equipped version of the Lancer in-game. The replica serves as both a collector’s item and a promotional piece tied directly to the new entry.

Demand for physical Gears memorabilia has remained strong across the franchise’s history, and the rapid sell-out of the first production run reflects continued enthusiasm ahead of E-Day. By opening a second wave and keeping pre-orders live for another week, Xbox has given more fans a realistic chance to secure one without relying on the secondary market.

Anyone interested in the Prototype Lancer Replica has until August 28 at 5 p.m. Pacific to complete their order. After that date the current window closes, and further availability has not been announced. For collectors who want the bayonet version of the franchise’s most recognizable weapon, this extended pre-order period is the clearest opportunity before the February shipment.
