Playtonic's Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is currently free on Epic Games Store, which is an epic news in and of itself. The caveat is, however, that the game will only be available for free for a limited time — as the promotion actually expires tomorrow.

According to the iformation revealed on Epic Games Store, the game will be available until the 1st of January at 11:00AM Eastern Time / 8:00AM Pacific Time / 4:00PM United Kingdom. The best news is that, once you get the game, players get to keep it forever.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is one of the finest 2D platformer titles out there, and it would be a shame if players didn't take full advantage of this phenomenal promotion on Epic Games Store — especially since Playtonic have done a terrific job making what is, in my personal opinion, the best Donkey Kong Country game since the Super Nintendo era.

Those who aren't subscribed to Epic Games Store will still do themselves a great favour if they pick Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair up for other platforms, as the game is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC(Steam, GOG); it's definitely worth it.
