Developer Insane Code has announced that 80s OVERDRIVE is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch. For those who may not be familiar with the game, it is a retro-looking racing title that looks and plays like some classic racing games from the 8 and 16-bit era.

80s OVERDRIVE was initially released for the Nintendo 3DS back in Deember 2017, and it got some pretty great reviews; making it even more of a perfect candidate to join the Nintendo Switch's ever-growing library of games.

Insane Code hasn't exactly revealed any details about the Nintendo Switch version of 80s OVERDRIVE, but they did share some pics that give us a look at the game running on the handheld hybrid console, and it looks great. Hopefully we'll get more information about this racing title soon.

80'S OVERDRIVE is a 2D pixel art racing game, designed to take you back in time to when 8 and 16 bit consoles and arcade games ruled the world. Compete against opponents in career mode to unlock new races, buy new cars, and upgrade them with state-of-the-art technologies! Try your skill in time attack mode and see how far you can get in this race against the clock! Create your own tracks with built-in track generator and easily share them with your friends!

80s OVERDRIVE is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch.
