GRIP: Combat Racing is a high octane racing game developed and published by Caged Element. The game is heavily inspired by
Rollcage, a popular combat racer game from the late 90s and early 2000s developed by defunct studio Attention To Detail.
Like
Rollcage,
Grip: Combat Racing keeps most of the gameplay mechanics from the game it's drawing inspiration from like being able to drive on pretty much any surface—even the ceilings—as well as the fast-paced racing and combat; making
GRIP: Combat Racing a proper spiritual successor to
Rollcage.
Another thing that
GRIP: Combat Racing borrows from
Rollcage is its brilliant soundtrack based on electronic music. This time, the ones in charge of composing the music for
GRIP: Combat Racing are a bunch of artitsts from South London based Hospital Records, focusing on drum and bass beats to make for a head-banging soundtrack. Today we are treated to another trailer for
GRIP:Combat Racing, which shows off some of the tunes the game will be featuring.
Take a look:
Evolved from the age of street racing, the world of GRIP is brutal and cut-throat to the core. To win the race is never enough, greatness comes from the journey and the trail of merciless destruction you unleash upon your rivals along the way
GRIP: Combat Racing will be available for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Steam on the 6th of November.
