Harkening back to iconic racing games like the Sega Master System's
Outrun, the Super Nintendo's
Top Gear, and the Sega Mega Drive's
Lotus Turbo Challenge,
Horizon Chase Turbo is a game that borrows all of the elements from some of the best racing titles of the 80s and 90s.
Horizon Chase Turbo is a game developed by brazilian independent developer Aquiris Game Studio, which has done a wonderful job capturing the essence of some of the best 90s racing titles; with colourful graphics, fast-paced high-octane races, and classic couch multiplayer greatness.
Not only does the game, from a technical standpoint, resemble those classic racing titles from the 90s, but it also manages to bring
Top Gear and
Lotus Turbo Challenge Sound Designer Barry Leitch to compose a soundtrack that reeks of nostalgia.
Today, Aquiris Game Studio has released a new trailer for
Horizon Chase Turbo, as the game becomes available for the Nintendo Switch, showing us that players can have fun racing their friends in up to 4 player races, or play solo while taking the action everywhere they go.
