Motorstorm and Driveclub developer Evolution Studios was officially closed by Sony two years ago, but Codemasters was fortunate enough to hire some of the skilled developers who worked on some of the best arcade racing games of last generation and asked them to produce a worthy successor of Sony's abandoned series. It looks like the developer will definitely deliver the goods with Onrush.
The latest trailer focuses on racing (duh!) and wrecking (yay!) cars in spectacular ways. It's truly refreshing to see a high-octane action in a racing game after all these years with slow and boring
Need for Speeds.
Burnout has (kind of) returned in the
Remastered edition, and there's hope that
Onrush will remember about the glorious traditions of this series and
FlatOut living up to their glorious legacy.
Onrush is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 5, 2018, and here's a short note from the Codies Blog: "
There’ll be no time for a quick cup of tea or a dash to the toilet. When you wreck you’ll be thrown right back in at the deep end faster than you can say takedown." Buckled in?
Race, smash and takedown your opponents in ONRUSH, a refreshing break from the norm epic action/arcade racer. Voted for by millions of on-line fans you step in as one of the 12 most exciting and popular Onrush competitors in the world.
