These days, a lot of developers have chosen to publish their games digitally. Those who still opt to release physical copies basically include only disc/game card inside and call it a day; long gone are the days in which manuals were included in video games.
Fortunately, publishers like Limited Run Games have helped developers release physical copies — albeit limited, as the name appropriately suggests — of these games, and they even come with instruction booklets and collectibles; all of this at a very reasonable price, too.
Limited Run Games has been particularly kind to Star Wars fans lately, as they have been producing physical copies for some of the re-releases that developer Aspyr has been putting out — such as Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Jedi Academy.
Just last week, Aspyr launched the classic Star Wars: Episode I Racer, and today the developer has announced that they are, once again, teaming up with Limited Run Games to give players a physical release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
What's more, Limited Run Games has revealed that pre-orders for the physical copies of Star Wars: Episode I Racer will open on Friday the 10th of July at 10:00 AM Eastern Time via Limited Run Games' official website.
The Nintendo Switch version of Star Wars: Episode I Racer will be including a conmemmorative non-functioning metal cartridge that resembles the original Nintendo 64 game cartridge; other than that, the Standard and Classic editions of Star Wars: Episode I Racer for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch are exactly the same.

The fan favorite racer is back featuring motion controls! Take control of a podracer speeding through flaming methane lakes, Tusken Raider assaults, anti-gravity tunnels, and much more in a pulse-pounding, do-or-die fight to the finish line.
Star Wars: Episode I Racer is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
