Some of the top Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock players met in New York to try and make their way into the Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition.

To mark the launch of the inaugural GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS: GAMER'S EDITION 2008, some of the nation's top Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock met in New York City for a record-breaking jam session.

When the dust settled, one of the best GUITAR HERO players in the world, Chris Chike, age 16 from Rochester, Minnesota, walked away with the new Guinness World Record for the "Highest Score for a Single Song on Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock"

He scored an astonishing 840,647 points, with a 97 percent completion on Expert Level, for the song THROUGH THE FIRE AND FLAMES by DragonForce.
