Electronic Arts has released the official launch trailer for BioWare's
Anthem two weeks before the game's premiere, giving us a chance to take a closer look at the Javelin exosuits and the game's vast open world. In
Anthem, the player controls their own, fully customizable
Iron Man like power armor that allows them not only to fly with ease, but also use elemental magic and stealth to kill enemies.
There's no denying that
Anthem is one massive undertaking for BioWare, as the highly anticipated title is the studio's first full-blown MMO since 2011's
Star Wars: The Old Republic. Considering that the recent beta-tests didn’t proceed how BioWare had hoped, it will be definitely interesting to see if
Anthem will somehow manage to break the old
Tom Clancy's The Division and
Destiny sales records.
According to
Anthem Lead Producer Ben Irving, it's really hard to tell how long it will take you to finish the MMORPG game's "campaign", as it apparently depends on how the player actually chooses to play, while the BioWare team is also working hard on a “
lot of side missions." Be sure to take a closer look at BioWare's next major video game and its unfinished, abandoned by gods world down below:
In a world left unfinished by the gods, a shadowy faction threatens all of humankind. The only thing that stands between these villains and the ancient technology they covet are the Freelancers. Join up to three other players and assemble high-tech, hand-crafted, uniquely powerful exosuits. Explore vast ruins, battle deadly enemies, and claim otherworldly artifacts. With every mission, you and your Javelin exosuits grow in power. Fight the dangers of an ever-changing world. Rise united to defeat evil. Triumph as one.
Anthem will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (via Origin) on February 22, 2019.
