It's been a tumultuous last few years for international j-pop singer Utada Hikaru. Arguably the biggest star of the franchise, Hikaru divorced in 2010, lost her mother in an apparent suicide in 2013, remarried in 2014 and gave birth to her first child in 2015. As such, musical output from the incredible songstress has been sporadic at best over the last few years.
However, an update on her official blog reveals that she's hard at work on her 7th studio album and at D23 Expo Japan 2018, it was revealed that she would be returning to perform the theme song for
Kingdom Hearts 3.
In prior years, there were some discussions from Utada's camp that she would not be returning due to contract negotiations/complications. Check out "Don't Think Twice" below which includes snippets of new footage from
the recently-announced Monster Inc. world.
And here's the Japanese version, which is called Oath.
